June 15 - 19

Hello everybody! I hope you´re doing great and I have the last task for you :) I also hope to see you on Wednesday because I haven ´t seen you or heard from you for a long time. I just want to talk about your experience with online teaching and our lessons at school and say goodbye in case I won´t be able to see you in person.

Meet is on Wednesday 17th June 2pm, the link was here

Since this is the last week of ´´teaching´´ I want it to be about you. Have a look at your handout and I´ll be waiting for your email. >>> handout

May 25 - 29

Hello everyone, since there was no-one who sent me the New Zealand task, I think it would be great to give you another try. There is reading, listening, quite a lot of interesting vocabulary and a bit of writing too. I hope you´ll enjoy it!

May 18 - 22

Hello! This week I hope you´ ll have some fun with Songs.

Follow the steps and send me your results, I hope you´ll enjoy it and I´ll discover some great songs thanks to you! If I were you I would break this down into doing steps 1-3 in the first session, then steps 4 - 6 in the second session and finally step 7!

Step 1 think about a song you like in English and you enjoy listening to it

Step 2 listen and actually try to write down lyrics without looking at the text (in your exercise book)

Step 3 check the lyrics

bonus: if you can find your song here, try different levels

Step 4 try to figure out what the song is about and write 8-10 sentences about it, you might find something here

Step 5 translate the song (in your exercise book) to Czech and  then check it online, compare and dis/agree

Step 6 write an email to me about the process and your song (you can take a photo of your notes), it would be great if you could mention what surprised you when translating, what have you learned or what is still not clear

Step 7 sing and practice pronunciation...and I mean it, focus on the pronunciation, take this as a good practice :)

May 11 - 15

Hello everyone! I hope you´re doing fine but I know it´s tough for you. Trust me, I´m thinking about you and I just want to express my support. Moreover I do hope we´ll have a chance to see each other towards the end of June. Keep calm and carry on :)

This week I have an activity sheet about New Zealand for you - there is reading, listening, quite a lot of interesting vocabulary and a bit of writing too. Have fun!

New Zealand

TIP: My colleague, Mrs. Štefaňáková, set up a GC for CREATIVE WRITING, feel free to try it in Czech or English, the code is iwzsuw5 :)

May 4 - 8

This week, you have the opportunity to work on your OBOROVÁ PRÁCE (PROJECT PAPER) and to send your annotation for checking (if it´s in English of course) :)

April 27 - 30

Hello guys! Isn´t great that we´re done with everything that you needed to do this school year?

I´ve been thinking about what to do next and decided that this week we´re doing listening. Choose one level and do all parts. Your level should be at least A2, I think majority of you can manage B1, but some of you could even go for B2 for sure. Let me know what you decide for and send me your results (use the solution and transcript)! Have fun!

I think that a great challenge would be to start from A2 and get to B1 and then B2 over the week, but it´s up to you.

I really want to support you so that we can see the best of you :)

March 30 - April 3

First I have to say thanks to all of you who work really hard!

Check the document with your awesome dialogues below this article.

This is the week when you need your textbook and workbook for the last time! Of course, don´t  throw it away yet, I want to see your workbook when we get back to school and you have to return your textbook....but you won´t be using it.

There is a compulsory and a voluntary part. In all the files there are solutions (below), so I want to see photos with your own evaluation. Thank you ;)

Compulsory (do it)

  • pages 64 and 65 in your WB (check solutions afterwards)
  • practice Irregular verbs (WB page 78) or online

Voluntary (don´t have to do it)

  • I took photos of all final revision in your textbooks since grade 5 and I´m offering you to try to revise the ultimate basics you´ve learned during your elementary school in English

March 23-27

Here´s my plan, I really want to finish the textbook asap, so let´s do it this week! This is probably the last time I want you to do this (because next week there´ll only be revision) and then we will move to our projects. I can´t wait!

btw, check out your writing from the last week here, I think it´s marvelous!
