April 6 - April 10

Hi everyone! This week will be all about revising and using the new phrases you´ve learnt. Send me a printscreen of the exercises online and the written text/dialogue from the second lesson. Thank you and let me know if I can be of any help.

1st lesson

warm up: read and say out loud vocabulary for U4 (WB 77)

finish these exercises/pages  in WB: 34, 35 (not ex. 6), 36, 37(not ex. 4), 38, 39 (not ex. 5), 42, 43/4, 43/ I can 1,2

2nd lesson

extra practice: I chose some good listenings for you, just listen, it´s quite authentic

THIS WEEK´S MOST IMPORTANT TASK:

choose one of these, write and send it to me:

  • a short text (7-10 sentences) describing journey you know/use (f.e. from home to school)
  • a dialogue about asking for directions (at least 10 sentences)
  • a dialogue inspired by WB 42/2 (should be a bit longer)

IT´S EASTER TIME, CHECK THE INTRO PAGE ON THIS BLOG TO SEE EXTRA TASKS

March 30 - April 3

Hello everyone! Thank you for your pictionaries and make sure you check the gallery I created  below (to be honest, some of your pictionaries are brilliant, others are amazing, some of them are really nice and some are just ok-ish - see for yourself :)).

This week, we´re going to move a bit and I think I found a really good source for a rather tough topic: articles. I divided the topic and exercises into three lessons, because it seems to work. I also have a new thing for you, listening (just click and download the files below).

And you know what? I know this topic doesn´t sound easy, but you can do this! Your task is to understand how to apply rules for using articles with your own notes (which should be an aid, not a mess). Send me pictures of your notes on Friday. If you struggle, just ask for help :)

1st lesson

2nd lesson

  • get back to your notes
  • read TXTB 47/3 (the green box in the solution) and WB 71/4.1 and 4.2 -> compare with your notes
  • listen to the comics TXTB 46, notice where ´´a/an´´ or ´´the´´ appear
  • try to say out loud exercise TXTB 47/4 and check it in solution

3rd lesson

  • open your exercise book with those excellent and helpful notes
  • do exercises - after each one, check the solution, and then do the next one, so that you can learn from your mistakes (tip: write down examples that were tricky)
  • WB 36/2 (nr. 1 is already done from the last week), WB 37/3, WB 42/1

March 23-27

Hello, you really worked hard during the last week and I hope you´ll like this week´s project!

I am still thinking about how to approach show and tell and film/book review, let me know if you have any idea - I was thinking maybe we can do this when we come back to school or online in small groups.

This week´s project is a pictionary, the topic: Asking for direction

  • write 10-15 words with a picture
  • write 5-10 phrases
  • 3  different questions for asking
  • drawn or done on PC
  • inspiration: WB 36/1, here, here, here or here
  • send me an email with the picture

update: I think not everyone got the idea, so I created my own pictionary for inspiration below :)
